How do Gift Subscriptions work?

Congratulations, someone special gave you a gift! When your gift giver purchased the subscription for you, they provided your email, shipping address and had the option to include a personalized gift message. The seller will ship your subscription box on a one-time or recurring basis, depending on what the gift giver set up.

How do I view my gift subscription?

Once you create a Cratejoy account, you can view your gift subscriptions by going logging into your Cratejoy account, then clicking the face icon in the upper-right hand corner and then click the My Gifts link.

If you already have a Cratejoy account, you can simply login and view your gift subscription under My Gifts.

How do I claim my gift?

You should receive a notification via the email provided by the gift giver with instructions on how to claim your gift. After clicking the link, you'll be asked to create an account. If you already have a Cratejoy account, you'll just need to sign in. All claimed gifts will be available in your account in the My Gifts section of your Cratejoy account.

What happens after I claim my gift?

You'e all set! No further action is needed, your gift will arrive based on preferences selected by your gift giver.

When will my subscription box ship?

Since all sellers on Cratejoy operate independently, sellers handle the fulfillment and shipping for all orders so shipping dates will vary. Sellers may have a setting enabled that will alert you as to when the subscription is shipped.

What happens when my subscription ends?

Gift givers have the option to buy one-time subscription boxes as well as prepaid 3, 6 or 12 month subscription boxes for a gift recipient. If you do not wish to continue your subscription, you can simply do nothing.

In the case that you want to keep your subscription going, you will have to purchase the subscription through the seller, either on their storefront/website or through Cratejoy directly. The gift giver "owns" the original gift subscription and it's not transferrable, so you will need to purchase your own subscription to continue.
