Automatically adding subscribers to an email list is a Storefront feature only. This feature is not available on the Cratejoy Marketplace.
This article ONLY applies to merchants who were specifically informed they did not have their subscribers automatically imported on 2/25/2016, or whom have recently installed the mailchimp application but specifically selected not to import their subscribers when asked
This article will cover broad steps of how to import your historical subscribers while specifically avoiding any accidental email communication with them. (e.g. no 'Welcome to my store!' emails to people who are imported as canceled)
Listed below are the steps you should take in order to import your existing canceled or expired subscribers:
Step 1: Locate your primary Mailchimp list
1. Select 'Apps', 2. Select your Mailchimp application, 3. Find the list you currently have selected
Step 2: Disable any welcome emails on your primary list
1. For your selected list, click 'Settings' and 'List name and defaults', 2. Uncheck the 'send final welcome email'
Step 3: Filter any automations if applicable (Only Applies to paid versions of MailChimp)
1. Open the automation and select the email(s) you wish to filter
Under 'Scheduling/Segmentation': 1. Filter your email by Subscription Status, and 2. Require that status to be Active or Past Due
Step 4: Import your Subscribers
Now go back to your Cratejoy Mailchimp application. Reinstall the MailChimp Application or 1. Select a new list, 2. Click 'Save', and 3. Confirm that you want to import your subscribers
