Cratejoy is transitioning Marketplace Listing from a per-store basis to a per-product basis.
This is a big change that is designed to give you more control over how your products are presented on Cratejoy’s Marketplace.
With Product Listings, sellers can now write clear descriptions with specific details about a single product, classify different products under different categories, and customize what images and the order of images that are shown in the image carousel specific to each product.

Changes due to Per-Product Listings:
Product Names are now Listing Names:
Listing Names will no longer be the name of your store. Each listing will now be named after the subscription product sold on the listing. Product names can always be changed in your "Products" section so make sure the subscription product name is updated to reflect what you are selling.
Each product name will need to be updated because the product name will become the name of the listing.
This is very important because the listing name is what potential customers will see on search results and your storefront.
How to Update the Product Name:
Log in to your Seller Portal and select Products from the left side menu.
Click on the Subscription Product that you would like to update. Enter the new product name you have chosen into the Name field.
Now navigate to the Product Listing tab on the left side menu. Click on the Create New Listing button. From the Select Product dropdown menu you can select the product for which you want to create a listing.
Enabling Product Listings:
- Once you have Published at least 1 Product Listing (more in our support article: Creating Product Listings) and have a Listing for your default Product, you'll see an "Enable Product Listings" button on your product listings home page.
- Your default Product is the first product in your list on the “Product” tab if you’ve set the order of that list. If you haven’t set your products order in that list, your default product will be the first visible product. You must create a listing for your default Product in order to enable Product Listings. You can reorder your products
Reviews:
- There will be no change to how the Reviews menu option functions, but you will need to pay attention to which listing each review is left on and apply responses appropriately.
- Your reviews will show up on the listing associated with your default product. Your default product is the first product in your list on the “Product” tab if you’ve set the order of that list. If you haven’t set your products order in that list, your default product will be the first visible product.
Listings Menu Option:
The Listings menu option on the left side of the Seller Portal has become Product Listings. This is where you will set up a listing page for each subscription product you offer.
Traffic:
In your analytics section, your traffic section will continue to operate as it currently functions. It will show how much traffic your store is receiving, but does not break the traffic down by listing.
Questions:
- There will be no change to how the Questions menu option functions, but you will need to pay attention to which listing each question is left on and apply responses appropriately.
